Ascarate Lake City Park This is a 400 acre municipal park featuring a 44 acre manmade lake. Swimming is not permitted in the lake but there is a nearby Olympic sized swimming pool, and fishing on the lake is accepted. Address: 6900 Delta Drive El Paso TX USA

Franklin Mountains State Park allows for activities such as mountian biking, rock climbing, hiking and horseback riding. The park has 44 picnic sites with shaded roofs, tables and barbeque grills for day use. There are some basic tenting sites as well as five RV sites for campers. None of them have water or electricty.
